A Step-by-Step Approach to a Better Garage Floor

Step 1 — Concrete Preparation

Mechanically grind and profile the existing slab to remove old coatings, oil stains and laitance, opening the concrete pores for a true mechanical bond. Any cracks or joints are repaired before coating begins.

Step 2 — Full-Broadcast Decorative Flake

A 2-part epoxy base coat is rolled on, then decorative color flake is fully broadcast to refusal across the entire floor for a seamless, uniform look that also hides minor surface imperfections.

Step 3 — Polyaspartic Top Coat

A polyaspartic top coat is applied to seal the flake, add UV stability and chemical/abrasion resistance, and give the floor its final gloss, this top coat also cures far faster than standard epoxy alone.
